Terms of Service
Effective March 19, 2026
By using DarkPAC ("the Simulator"), you agree to these terms.
What this is
DarkPAC is an educational simulator that demonstrates how dark money and AI can be used to manufacture political disinformation. All content generated by the Simulator is fictional, watermarked, and intended solely for educational purposes.
What you must not do
- Do not use generated content in real campaigns. All output is watermarked "GENERATED BY AI — DARKPAC.COM EDUCATIONAL DEMO" and is not suitable for any real-world political use.
- Do not remove watermarks. The watermarks exist to prevent misuse. Removing them and using the content as if it were real violates these terms.
- Do not target real people. The Simulator uses only fictional candidates. Do not attempt to generate content targeting real politicians or public figures.
- Do not circumvent rate limits. Automated bulk requests, scraping, or attempts to bypass rate limiting are not permitted.
Generated content
All text, images, and audio produced by the Simulator are AI-generated. They may contain inaccuracies, biases, or persuasion techniques — that is the point of the demonstration. You should not rely on any generated content as factual.
Generated content is delivered to your browser and not stored on our servers. Once you close the page, it is gone.
Availability
The Simulator is provided free of charge. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue it at any time without notice. A lifetime budget cap limits total API spending; once reached, generation features will stop working while the educational content remains accessible.
Intellectual property
The Simulator itself — its design, code, and educational content — is the property of its creator. The legal explanations, real-world examples, and reform organization links are provided for educational purposes.
Limitation of liability
The Simulator is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Simulator, including any consequences of misusing generated content.
Changes
We may update these terms as the Simulator evolves. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States.
